Biscuit and his little girl are going to visit the city to visit their friend Jack. Biscuit quickly discovers that the city world is very different from the one he is used to. Here he has to stay near his little mistress, for there are many things that are new to him like large buses, trucks, and bikes. There are also interesting things to see and explore. Biscuit especially like the pigeons, with whom he is keen to make friends, and there are other dogs about as well.

Then Biscuit gets loose and his little girl is terrified that she will never be able to find her beloved pet again.

This simple and charming little "My First I can Read Book" title is sure to appeal to young Biscuit fans. It gives young readers with an interesting story, and they will have a great sense of satisfaction as they come to the conclusion of the little tale. As always Pat Schories has created perfect illustrations to accompany the text, capturing the excitement and worries that a big city can give a small child - or a dog.
