There is a new baby in the house and Biscuit is dying to meet it. Biscuit's little mistress keeps telling him that now is not the right time for Biscuit to meet the baby because the baby is resting. Of course poor Biscuit doesn't understand what she is saying. There is a new soft blanket and some little booties to play with, and what about the new rattle that is lying on the floor? It would seem that all these things belong to the baby and not to Biscuit, which the little dog finds very confusing.
At last Biscuit cannot stand the waiting any longer and he starts to bark; and of course this makes the baby cry. Having a baby in the house it turning out to be very problematical for Biscuit.
In this sweetly illustrated book which is simply written in a form perfectly suited to beginner readers, children will find a tale that they can relate too. Children who love Biscuit and his family will be delighted to read the little dog's adventures in this I Can Read book.
