Janny loves to help her father plow the roads in the winter time. He says that she is his "wingman" because Janny lifts the wing lever when they get close to postboxes so that the boxes are not crushed or broken by the snow plough. On this particular night Janny and her father meet Dr. Turner the vet and they help the doctor get to a patient who lives on a blocked snowy road. They also help someone who has skidded off the road. The plough has no problem pulling the car out of the snow bank and setting it back on the road.

Together Janny and her father help others on a snowy winter’s night. Theirs is a special relationship which they both treasure and many years later Janny remembers those nights with great affection and nostalgia. She cannot help feeling that it would be wonderful if she could see the lights from her father’s snowplow once again.

Fathers and daughters of all ages will recognize the close relationship described in this picture book and will perhaps be reminded that their times together are truly special and to be savored.
