Bear works as a postbear. First thing in the morning when he gets to the post office, Bear puts the mail into his big bag. Then, “as busy as can be” he sets off to deliver all the letters, postcards, and parcels.

He goes to businesses, the town library, the local school, and people’s homes. Needing a little breather, Bear stops to have a cup of tea in the café. Wherever he goes, Bear is greeted with a smile and a wave. He is a valued and valuable member of the community.

In this warm and cheerful board book we share a day at work with Bear, the conscientious postbear who has friends all over town. As they follow Bear on his route children will be able to meet bears who do all kinds of jobs, and at the back of the book the author invites her readers to find some of the other working bears in the story.

With a simple rhyming text and unforgettable multimedia artwork rendered in rich warm colors, this board book is sure to appeal to little children who like soft-eyed smiling bears.

This is just one in a series of splendid books and board books about Bear.
