Babymouse is pretty fed up with her life. It is not glamorous, it is not exciting, and she is not the popular mouse she would like to be. Instead Babymouse has to tolerate a very boring life full of homework, dull classes in school, and being ignored by just about everyone. Babymouse imagines herself in all kinds of exciting roles and situations but somehow her real life self seems to be missing out on all the good things in life.

Babymouse is especially upset when Felicia Furrypaws does not invite her to her slumber party. Is Babymouse the only person who isn’t invited? Well, Babymouse is not a quitter and she sets about trying to do what she can to make sure she gets one of the highly prized invitations. Babymouse even decides to blow off a movie night with her best friend because she wants to go to the slumber party so much. Little does Babymouse know that the slumber party is not going to be at all what Babymouse expects.

Young readers will love this terrific little mouse with her incredibly active imagination and her dreams of a more exciting and glamorous life. What young girl hasn’t wished that she was the center of attention? What young girl hasn’t day dreamed that she was the ultimate diva queen in her school? Now girls can share Babymouse’s dreams and have a good laugh at the situations this teacup sized heroine gets herself into.

Wacky cartoon style graphics and a lively and easy-to-identify-with main character makes this a winning title. There is no doubt that Babymouse is going to make her impression on the world. You might enjoy visiting the Babymouse Website.
