Linda Buckley-Archer

Linda Buckley-Archer is the author of The Gideon trilogy. She was born in Sussex and spent much of her childhood in rural Staffordshire before settling in London, where she now lives with her husband and two children. Originally trained as a linguist, she lectured in French for some years before becoming a full-time novelist and scriptwriter. She has written a television drama for the BBC and several radio dramas, as well as various journalistic pieces for papers like the Independent. Inspired by the criminal underworld of eighteenth-century London, she began the PhD Creative Writing course at Goldsmiths College (University of London) in 2004, to spend three years working on the Gideon novels.
