All Shook Up!

Novelty Board Book

Young children love books that have flaps that lift and tabs that they can be pulled. Often they will explore such titles again and again, and the novelty features give them joy every time.

Alain Crozon has a fondness for creating books packed with surprises that children can open and close, lift and pull, and he has gone all out to create this novelty title. In the book we join eight animals who are ready to start doing something. All they need is our help. On the first page we meet a bird who is supposed to be flapping its wings and we get to open those wings “One two. One two.” On the facing page there is a butterfly and we need to wag its wings by opening and closing them.

Next there is a rabbit whose ears need to be wiggled and a fox whose hat hair needs to be lifted up so that it can have a spikey hairdo. Further on in the book we meet an elephant, a donkey, a hippo, and an owl. In each case we get to pull or lift something so that the animal is “All shook up.”
