Pig lives on an apple farm with Mrs. Pippins and every day Mrs. Pippins creates all kinds of apple goodies for Pig to eat. Pig likes living on the apple farm, and he is very fond of Mrs. Pippin, but he is sick of eating apples. He would really like to eat some vegetables for a change.

Carefully Pig tiptoes out to Mrs. Pippin’s vegetable garden. He pushes open the gate and soon he is happily eating a squash. When Mrs. Pippin sees what Pig is up to she ties Pig up. When Pig tries to pull himself free, she puts pig in his pen. Poor Pig is never going to be able to have those veggies he craves. Or is he?

In this clever and funny picture book, children get to meet a pig who, quite by accident, gets what he wants. With a loveable main character, and delightful multi media art, this is a book that children are sure to enjoy. As they read, children will see that it is not hard to create a garden of their own, and in the back of the book, readers will find further information about how to plant an organic garden.
