It is Valentine’s Day, and the children gather craft supplies, balloons, decorations, and sweet treats and they set off for the house to prepare for a party. Soon the children are decorating the house, laying out cookies and cupcakes, and making a box for Valentine’s Day cards. Some of the children start making cards, and they all try to create a card that the recipient will like.

Peter makes a card for his friend Max, decorating it with a dinosaur because Max likes dinosaurs. Since Pricilla is “a princess in everyone’s eyes,” her friend Pam draws a picture of a fairy princess on Priscilla’s Valentine’s Day card. Everyone needs a card, even Baby and the cat.

This clever counting book will delight children who enjoy Valentine’s Day. Readers will have fun exploring the artwork to see what the different children are doing as the cards are being made.
