It’s Spring!

Change is coming. A boy can go outside without having to wear a jacket and he notices that there are little leaf buds growing on the tips of tree branches. Bit by bit the ground is warming up and animals of all kinds are coming out if their winter bowers to enjoy the fresh new world. The robins arrive and soon the air is filled with the sound of bird song.
Soon the birds are building nests and more and more plants unfurl, open up, and bloom. The boy enjoys working in his garden planting vegetables and flowers. With every passing day the boy celebrates the joys that the warming and lengthening days bring.
This beautiful book is not only a joy to the eye with its extraordinary paper art illustrations, but it is also beautifully written with a light, sometimes rhyming text. The author captures the excitement that spring brings to the life of the young and the young at heart, creating images of change, wonder and beauty with her words.
This is one of the books in the “Celebrate the Seasons!” series.
