Find the Magic: A Rip Squeak Book

Lee Cohen

Illustrated by Julia Harnett Harvey

Picture Book (Series)

Ages 4 to 8

Rip Squeak Inc, 2008, 0-9747825-2-1

On morning, Euripides the frog drops by to discover that his friends Rip Squeak, Jesse, and Abbey are all out of sorts. Rip Squeak does not know what to draw, Jesse cannot get her doll costumes to look right, and Abbey needs new places to explore. Being a good friend Euripides proceeds to take his friends to “a magical place.”

The place turns out to be a bookstore, and Euripides really does give his friends just what they need to get out of the rut that they are in. All three of them discover the joy of reading, and their lives will surely never be the same.

This enjoyable title shows young readers how books can really take them to faraway and even magical places. Books can inspire readers, and they give children and adults alike all kinds of new ideas that will change their lives.
