If you could go into a witch’s kitchen, what kinds of things would you find there? Would there be cheese in the fridge, just like there is in your kitchen? Maybe, but there might “Bats with fleas” in the fridge instead.

What about that big blue and white bowl that is sitting on the counter. In your kitchen there might be toffee popcorn in the bowl, a treat that will make you “cheer with delight.” In a witch’s kitchen there might be frogspawn in the bowl, a slimy mess that will make you “want to shout YUCK.”

One every double page spread in this book there is a lift-the-flap to explore. The flap can be lifted in two ways. One side reveals something ordinary and one side displays something witchy and nasty. Children are sure to enjoy lifting the flaps and seeing the two very different surprises underneath. On the last page, there is a little surprise that children will appreciate.

With a rhyming text, bright colored illustrations, and interesting novelty features, this is a book that young witch fans will surely enjoy.
