In the basement of a little boy's house there is a wooden toolbox which is full of all kinds of interesting tools. Each tool has a specific use and the little boy enjoys finding out what they all can do. For example, the hammer is for pounding in nails, and the drill has a piece on it which "goes around and around," and which "makes holes in wood." You use a clamp to hold two pieces of wood together, and when you run a plane across a piece of wood to smooth it out, long "curl shavings" appear.

Little children who love to help their parents work with tools will greatly enjoy this little board book. With its simple text and its charming water color illustrations, this is a board book which budding carpenters and do-it-yourselfers will find irresistible.
