Cherry the pig loves to make desserts. One day she makes an apple cake that is so delicious that she decides to make the cake in the bake-off at the Harvest Festival. While she is making her cake at the bake-off, Cherry hears some mice talking about her cake. They have tasted her baking and they think her apple cake is “incredibly awful.” Poor Cherry is terribly upset. Should she continue if the mice think that her apple cake is awful?

In this sweet and warm picture book, the author tells a tale that will delight pig lovers and food lovers alike. Readers will see that there are times when it does not pay to listen to the words of others, especially when your critics are some mice! Instead you should follow your heart and do what you think is right.
