Children love noise words. They love woofing and meowing, vrooming, and put-put-putting. They love imitating the noise a police car siren makes, and roaring like a lion. Naturally, the louder the noise is the better.
This book will delight little children because it is full of noise words. On every spread they are presented with the picture of an object or an animal and they are told what noise that object or animal makes. For example, we learn that a donkey “goes heehaw” and a “firecracker goes boom.”
What makes this book really fun is the fact that the author includes some surprising entries. A baby’s milk bottle, for example, “goes mmmm,” and a can of spinach goes “yuck yum.” Grownups will appreciate the humor that pops up here and there throughout this cunning little board book.
