The Jolly Postman is out delivering letters and what interesting letters they are. The letters were written by famous fairy tale and nursery rhyme characters such as Goldilocks, Peter Piper, and Mrs. Bunting. The recipients of this letters are none other than celebrities such as Cinderella, the Giant (from "Jack and the Beanstalk"), and the Three Bears family. The recipients find all kinds of things in their letters: an advertisement which will appeal to witches and other magic folk; a little book; a postcard, an "I'm sorry" letter, and much more.
Adults will enjoy the tongue-in-cheek humor that is found in both the text and in the letters that the Jolly Postman delivers. For children, meeting their favorite book characters and being able to open the letters to see what is inside, makes this a title that they will enjoy looking at and reading over and over again.
Throughout the book the wonderfully detailed illustrations beautifully compliment the rhyming text and the amusing letters.
