This Christmas Eddie wants a bicycle more than anything. He is therefore very disappointed when his grandfather tells him that he does not think that Eddie will be getting a bicycle this year. Instead, Eddie will be getting a Christmas sweater. To say that Eddie is disappointed is an understatement. Eddie doesn’t want a “boring, useless, itchy” sweater. Eddie’s grandfather tells Eddie that a Christmas sweater is a marvelous gift because a handmade gift is full of love and “Christmas magic.”
That night, Christmas Eve, Eddie falls asleep and in his dreams he has a number of experiences that show him that getting a Christmas sweater might be a good thing after all.
This delightful picture book explores the idea that some of the best gifts that we get are the ones that are made for us by the people we love. With wonderful illustrations and a meaningful holiday message, this is a picture book that will surely become a favorite with children and their families.
