Lily does not want to go to school today. As far as she is concerned, school is “boring” and she wants nothing more to do with it. Then a bear arrives at the door and he invites her to go to his school.

At first Bear School seems wonderful. Lily does not have to hang up her coat, she can paint whatever she wants, and she and the bear make a racket during music time. When it is time for cooking, Lily makes a variety of sweet treats, and the bear makes a “BIG GOOEY MESS.”

Then things start to go downhill. The bear cannot read a story properly and he won’t share during dessert time. When Lily wants to work on her numbers, the bear wants to play with cars. When Lily wants to play grocery store, the bear takes over and causes chaos. Could it be that regular school is actually not so bad after all?

Children who are not keen on going to school are sure to laugh at the adventures that Lily has when she is at Bear School. They will discover that sometimes what you have is a lot better than the alternative.
