We are out in the countryside and the day is “long and warm.” It is summer and cedar waxwings are eating cherries in the cherry tree. Sheep graze in the field, and a pair of chipmunks peers out from behind the trunk of the tree.
The chipmunks are busy little animals and they follow us as we explore the summer garden that grows around the little yellow cottage. One of the chipmunks eats a sun-ripened strawberry in the berry patch, and later they are there in the vegetable garden too, hiding behind greens and stealing a tomato to nibble on.
