It is a beautiful, sunny, summer morning. Pelle and Pippa get up early, they bake some buns, and they set off to explore. Right near their little home they find an apple tree and they admire the fruit hanging from the branches.
Next they go to the farm where they see a rooster, a hen and three little chicks. In the afternoon they wander through a field picking wildflowers. In amongst the tale grasses they see a little nest that a mouse is building. There are so many simple pleasures to be enjoyed out of doors at this time of year.
This simple yet delightful little narrative will take children out on a countryside ramble with Pippa and Pelle. Throughout the book cunning illustrations bring Pippa and Pelle’s world to life.
