Piglet has a wonderful granny who is “soft and squishy,” and “lively as a family of leaping frogs” at the same time. She has wonderful ideas, and she has taught Piglet how do all kinds of things like running, somersaulting, hiding, and balancing.

Today Piglet is waiting for her granny to visit. Piglet waits and waits, but Granny doesn’t come. Piglet balances, runs, somersaults, and hides. She talks to the other animals on the farm, telling them that her granny is coming to visit and that she, Piglet, has been “waiting and waiting and waiting.” All the animals reassure Piglet that granny will be there soon, but Piglet cannot help being impatient.

In this heartwarming picture book, we discover that Piglet truly is a very lucky little pig. She has a marvelous granny who clearly understands how to be the very best granny possible. Children who have found it hard to wait for someone they love will perfectly understand Piglet’s impatience as she waits for her loving and multi-talented grandmother.
