Many of us have seen penguins in the zo,o and perhaps on the television as well. We imagine that we know all there is to know about these funny looking birds. They live where there is a lot of snow and ice, right? Actually some species of penguins live in places where it is quite warm, and unlike their cold climate relatives, these penguins have to find ways to keep themselves, and their babies, cool.

This is just one of many penguin facts that young readers will read about in this beautifully presented and very informative board book. Children will also find out that penguins are not colored black and white by chance. There is a very good reason for their dapper color scheme. They will also get to meet some of the penguin species, and they will discover that penguins are preyed upon by a wide variety of creatures.

With an engaging rhyming text and wonderful cut and torn paper illustrations, this is a perfect book for young penguin fans.
