One day a little boy goes looking for someone to play ball with him. Grandpa is too busy raking leaves, and Grandma is too busy cooking. The boy then asks his elephant to play with him, and the elephant is happy to accept the invitation.

Together they play kickball in the yard, and the elephant flattens the flowerbed. In the house, the elephant knocks into furniture and it makes rather a mess. The little boy tells Grandma that his elephant is responsible. Unfortunately, neither Grandma nor Grandpa believe the little boy, and he feels very sad and upset. Thankfully, there is always the elephant around who is so good at cheering the little boy up.

This delightful picture book celebrates the power of a youthful imagination. A good imagination can allow anyone to conjure up a best friend - even an elephant best friend - who is always there in good times and bad.

With a simple text and expressive multimedia illustrations, Petr Horacek gives young readers a story that is heartwarming and endearing.
