Hindenburg Disaster

On May 6th, 1937, one of the greatest airships ever built burst into flames over an airfield in New Jersey. The Hinderburg was beautifully appointed and had just completed a transatlantic journey from Germany. Thirty-six people died when the airship went up in flames.
