Statue of Liberty
The Statue of Liberty stands on Liberty Island in New York Harbor. The statue was a gift to the United States by the people of France in 1886. The statue commerates the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The statue was designed by Frederic Auguste Bartholdi, and a miniture of the statue stands in Paris, France. The Statue of Liberty greeted millions of immigrants to New York, is part of the Statue of Liberty National Monument, and is adjacent to Ellis Island
