George Washington

George Washington is considered by many to be the father of his nation. He was a founding father of the United Sates and served as commander-in-chief during the American Revolutionary War. He was elected as the first President of the United States. His home, Mount Vernon, still stands on the banks of the Potmac River just outside of Washington, D.C.
