Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin was a man who had many skills. He was a splendid writer, an inventor, a diplomat, and a patriot. His work had a profound effect on his country, and his image is one that most Americans can recognize immediately.

Ben Franklin was one of the five men who drafted the American Declaration of Independence. He worked closely with Thomas Jefferson on this document that was a key step towards the American Revolution. He also served as the United States Minister to France and Sweeden, and was named the first Postmaster General of the United States.
