Human beings are capable of building all kinds of marvelous structures. They have been creating many wonderful buildings, statues, tombs, towers, and fortifications for thousands of years.
In this simple yet engaging little book, young children will encounter nine of the world’s famous landmarks. Some are ancient, while others are relatively modern. Some serve a purpose, while others are ornamental in nature. For each landmark, children are given an illustration to look at, and the name of the structure shown on that page.
At the beginning of the book children can see where each landmark is located on a world map, and they are also asked “Do you know any other famous landmarks around the world?”
This title would be a perfect book to share with a child who is interested in faraway places.
