Welcome to Through the Looking Glass
Welcome to the January and February 2010 issue of Through the Looking Glass Children’s Book Reviews. As you can see, TTLG has a new look. I hope that you find this new site easier to use, and even more informative than the old one was.
As always, the books reviewed on TTLG are carefully chosen by the editor. We only review books that suit the scope of TTLG, and that we have feel have something to offer readers. Therefore, all our reviews are positive ones. We hope this will help you to find excellent books for the young people in your lives. If you are looking for books for yourself, we hope you will find books that you will enjoy reading. Please consider buying books through this website. Your purchases help to support our work, and give us the means to improve this online resource.
For this issue I have chosen to do a special feature about pigs. Yes, I did say pigs. In 1999 my husband and I adopted a potbellied pig. I brought her home from the farm in a cat carrier and named her Gracie. She grew into a loving, quite lovely (in my biased opinion) pig who was a lot more intelligent than any dog I have ever had. She learned how to open all the kitchen cabinets and the fridge. She loved to play soccer with the tupperware, and when she did something bad she ran into the woods until the storm had blown over. Because I have a soft spot for pigs, I thought it would be fun to feature books about these splendid animals. I hope you enjoy reading these reviews and will consider adding some of these titles to your library,
