Henry and Mudge have been invited to attend a sleepover at Patrick's house on Saturday. Henry tells Mudge all about what to expect on when you go to a sleepover and the two friends are very excited about the coming event.
At last Saturday arrives and Henry and Mudge go to Patrick's house. The place is full of boys and dogs and everyone is in a very "bouncy" mood. To avoid any accidents with the furniture or the knick knacks it is decided to hold the sleepover in the enormous, and practically empty, attic. It is perfect and soon the boys are having a wonderful time playing games of all kinds.
When it starts to get dark Patrick's mother brings the boys pizza to eat and they all sit down to watch monster movies. Of course popcorn follows. Then all the boys and their dogs get into their sleeping bags. Big Mudge needs to have a whole sleeping bag to himself!
Fans of the Henry and Mudge series will not be disappointed with this charming little chapter book. Once again Henry and Mudge have a simple yet entertaining adventure which children will have no difficulty identifying with. This would be an excellent title for a child who is facing his or her first sleepover and who is feeling a little nervous at the prospect. Henry and Mudge?s experience will show that sleepovers are great fun for children and dogs alike.
