The first snow has fallen on a dark and cold winter’s night. Soon, in the forest, trees are covered with the white powdery softness. Beneath the ground young Bunny wakes up and soon he and little brothers and sisters are outside, hopping across a white open meadow. Carefully the bunnies move from tree to tree, being careful not to be seen by the other night creatures.

Then, in the moonlight, the bunnies see a group of little houses glowing on the edge of the meadow. They watch as children come out to play in the first snow of the season.

Richly atmospheric illustrations perfectly capture the magical beauty of the snowy moonlit landscape and the creatures that move about in it. The soothing simple text makes this a perfect book to read at bedtime.
