Most farmers have problems of all kinds associated with their work. The machinery breaks down, their animals get loose, the weather is unkind to their crops. You know, normal kinds of farmish problems. However, Farmer Brown has a very unique problem; his cows like to type.

When Farmer Brown goes to the barn to find out what is making the “Click, clack, moo” sounds, he finds a typewritten note tacked to the barn door. The cows are very cold at night and they would like some electric blankets. Farmer Brown refuses to give the cows what they want, and the cows respond with another typewritten note which says: “Sorry. We’re closed. No milk today.” The cows are on strike!

In this hilarious story, young readers get to meet some highly educated and very wily farm animals who know what they want, and who are capable to striking a very shrewd bargain. Just when you think the Farmer has won the upper hand, something new happens to upset his plans.

With delightfully funny illustrations and an amusing ending, this is a board book that little children will want to read again and again.
