It is a hot summer’s day, and Brownie and her little cat Pearl are trying to stay cool. The two friends decide to “take a dip,” and after collecting what they need, they go outside into the yard where the pool waits for them.
Brownie’s pool is small, but it is just the right size for a small girl and her pet cat. Carefully Brownie eases herself into the water, which “feels very nice.” Brownie tries to do the same, but her entry into the water is rather abrupt, and the little cat is not altogether pleased to be soaked in such a sudden way.
Little children who enjoy playing in their paddling pool during hot summer days are such to appreciate this simple and charming Brownie and Pearl adventure.
