It is a windy day, and Big and Little Nutbrown Hare are out chasing falling leaves. They play so hard that Big Nutbrown Hare has to have a rest. While Big Nutbrown Hare is taking a breather, Little Brown Hare finds a box that the wind has blown in. As everyone knows, big boxes are wonderful for jumping over, jumping on, and jumping in. Which is just what Little Nutbrown Hare does. Then he decides to have a little extra fun with the big box.

Sometimes the simplest of things, like a big box, can provide a great deal of entertainment. The story in this board book celebrates this fact, and Anita Jeram’s delightful illustrations are heartwarming and funny.
